What do you think of this National Gas Engine? The National Gas Engine Company was founded in 1889 by H. N. Bickerton of Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, England. By the year 1894 the company was exporting engines to France. The original engines were designed to run on town gas supply, but later models were changed to run on gasoline.
