So what’s the deal with hormone pellets? Pellets are small, slow-release hormone capsules inserted into your backside. Once they’re placed, that dose is your dose for the next three months. That’s where the concern comes in. Once a pellet is in, it cannot be adjusted. If the dose is too high, too low, or you have side effects, there’s no way to course correct until it wears off.
