Healthy Beet Recipe Method 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. 2. Remove stems and leaves, then scrub beets clean of any dirt. Place in a baking dish and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for about one hour (small beets will take less time), or until beets are tender and can easily be pierced with a fork. 3. Beet hummus with pickled beet stems and garden veggies! The best snack I’ve had this year. Beet hummus is such a favorite and it’s so so fun!
